Gears of War: E-Day is an upcoming prequel that follows young Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during Emergence Day, the catastrophic event when the Locust Horde first invaded humanity's surface world. Set fourteen years before the original game, it revisits the franchise's dark, brutal linear horror roots using Unreal Engine 5 to deliver an intimate, character-driven story of survival. The narrative focuses on the origin of Marcus and Dom's iconic brotherhood as they face an unfamiliar, terrifying enemy on a world completely unprepared for war.
Final Fantasy Resonance

Final Fantasy Resonance is an upcoming single-player JRPG from Square Enix that marks the main franchise's first foray into the retro-modern "HD-2D" visual style. Adapted from the story arc of the mobile game *Final Fantasy Brave Exvius*, the narrative follows knights Rain and Lasswell on a quest across the world of Lapis to stop a villain from destroying the realm's elemental crystals. Built completely from the ground up for modern platforms, it features turn-based combat where players stagger enemies and summon "Visions"—echoes of iconic, legacy *Final Fantasy* heroes—to unleash powerful combination attacks.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered
(PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PC) - October 29th

The Wolf Among Us Remastered is an updated version of Telltale Games' acclaimed 2013 episodic narrative adventure based on Bill Willingham's *Fables* comic series. Players step into the shoes of Bigby Wolf, the Sheriff of Fabletown, as he investigates a dark murder mystery involving hidden fairy-tale characters living secretly in modern-day Manhattan. This version upgrades the original game with enhanced high-resolution textures, improved performance, and refined controls while preserving its signature neo-noir aesthetic and choice-driven storytelling.

The Gaming Market

If you're on the hunt for a retro game or console, then a gaming market is great way to find it. 'The Gaming Market' will be featuring retro and modern video games, hardware, and merchandise could provide an opportunity to pick up a great deal.

Comic Con Scotland
Saturday 24th-25th October 2026 | 11am - 6pm (Early/Diamond passes from 9am)
Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh, EH28 8NB
Large-scale pop culture and guest convention, featuring guests from Stranger Things, The 100, WWE, Metal Gear Solid and Futurama (and a lot more!). This is great opportunity to meet your favourite actors, whether you're in to film, tv, gaming, or all of the above. The convention also features dedicated gaming and media zones.

Southampton Anime & Gaming Con
Saturday 31st October - Sunday 1st November 2026 | 11:30am - 6pm (VIP & Early Bird from 10am)
Novotel Southampton, Southampton, SO15 1RA
Features tournaments for retro and new video games, TCGs and guest voice actors. Whilst the list of guests is still unknown, this is due to be released closer to the time of the event so keep an eye on this if this event is of interest to you.

Streamed Events
Triple-I Initiative Showcase
October 8th, 2026
A fast-paced, 45-minute digital presentation focused strictly on indie games with higher production budgets ("Triple-I"). Expect gameplay trailers, release dates, and world premieres with zero fluff or presenters. Streaming will be taking place on the Triple-i YouTube channel, as well as a number of major gaming platforms, such as Twitch and Steam.
Unreal Fest Tokyo 2026
October 22nd – October 23rd, 2026
Hosted at the Tokyo Big Sight, Epic Games traditionally broadcasts its primary keynotes and technical deep dives via the official Unreal Engine YouTube Channel. Expect detailed technical streams on Unreal Engine 5 optimizations, virtual production pipelines, and developer breakdown sessions.
